Sage 50 US: Announcing an October 2020 Tax Update for Release 2021.1.1

What's New

This Tax Update resolves an issue where certain pay types used may cause inaccurate amounts to appear on Payroll Tax Forms. Note: If you are on Release 2021.0 or earlier, this Tax Update does not apply to you.

Before attempting to install this Tax Update, please verify that you have not already installed it. You can do this by following the below steps:

  1. Select HelpAbout Sage 50 Accounting
  2. Confirm that the installed Tax Update version number is 20201001

If your installed Tax Update version does not match the version number listed above, please follow the instructions below:

If you are on Release 2021.1.1:

  1. Check for Updates by selecting Services, Check for Updates, Check Now within your Sage 50 Accounting software.

Note: If you do not see this Tax Update, please refer to Sage Knowledgebase 107459 to install it before filing your taxes.

If you are on Release 2021.1:

  1. Install the 2021.1.1 update prior to applying this Tax Update:
    • Check for Updates by selecting Services, Check for Updates, Check Now within your Sage 50 Accounting software.
  2. After you have applied the 2021.1.1 update:
    • Check for Updates by selecting Services, Check for Updates, Check Now within your Sage 50 Accounting software.

Note: If you do not see this Tax Update, please refer to Sage Knowledgebase 107459 to install it before filing your taxes.

As always, review all tax forms for accuracy before filing. In order to verify the amounts displayed are correct, the Payroll Tax Liability Report can be used by following the steps in Sage Knowledgebase 107380.
