Remote Data Access (formerly Sage Drive) connectivity issues

  • After being down for several days here is what we are currently experiencing:

    1. First, I'm the only authorized user.

    2. Cannot open the company on my computer at work because the file C:\Users\Tammy\Desktop\Company\xxxxxxxx\PERMISS.DAT is missing or damaged.

    3. Talked to tech support and told them that I also run Sage Remote from my home laptop.  He suggested that once the Sage 50 NA issues were resolved to try and open the company from the home laptop, do a backup of the company by using the Automatic Backup Utility with the idea of either to reshare or restore the company on my computer at work.  Once I received confirmation that Sage 50 NA was up and running, I went home and tried opening the company up on my laptop.  It opened but in READ ONLY mode.

    4. Got all the way through the Automatic Backup Utility setup and now I'm getting this error message "You cannot back up this company right now.  Please make sure no one has this company open in Sage 50 and try again."

    5. How do I get out of READ ONLY mode?

    6.  Is it possible that the PERMISS.DAT file has the company locked to make it think someone else has it open?

    7.  Is the PERMISS.DAT file causing the READ ONLY mode from my laptop access?

    We have been down for several days now and still we cannot share the company to the cloud. I have called and left technical support request and received no replies. Also, have emailed the contact you advised using. I have attempted rebase the company only to get an error message that the "restore" failed. I have seen data access exception thrown in distructor, improper argument messages given, continually receive failed to upload to remote data access. BIG QUESTION, when is SAGE going to fix the technical issues that are causing this system wide problem? I would like a technical support rep call me and help me remove my data from your cloud back onto our network in the office so I can bring my employees back in the office before my company closes due not not being able to support our customers request. PLEASE help me get off and away from the cloud system that is not technically efficient.  PLEASE!
