Sage 300 Intelligence Reporting Excel.Interop error

I have two clients that were running SI fine and now both of them cannot save or distribute reports. When they go to do so they get an error stating that Micrsoft.Office.Excel.Interop v12.00 cannot be located. 

Looking in the registry it appears that version 15.00 is registered but I have other clients running this way that are not having the issue. 

I have tried reinstalling / repairing both Office and SI with no change. 

Has anyone else seen this issue? One client is 300 2017 the other is 2018

  • It seems like there was probably a redirect in place that pointed SI to use the version 12 library and its no longer there, or there SHOULD be a redirect in place to tell SI to use version 15. I can see version 15 I cannot see 12 in the Assembly folder. I don't know if there is a config file as part of SI that would set this policy.

    Good Day, 

    This seems to be an issue with excel, you would need to go into the registry and remove all registry entries. You can use a tool called Revo uninstaller to remove all traces of office and the re-install office.
