Has anyone encountered this issue:
The financial year has just ended. I created the new year and i closed out the year so that the GL can start posting for the current year. The year is moving from 2019 to 2020. it all changed as usual.
I went to the Sage Business Intelligence to run a reprot for the first month in the new financial year. It has not changed to 2020. No matter what i do, i cant understand why it is still showing 2019.
As a result, when i try to run a 2020 report, i get an error message:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string.
I am using Sage 300 ERP 2014
Thanks for any help!
Hi Cathy,Please let me know the name/s of the report you are having this issue with. If it is with a Financial Report Designer report then at what point does this error occur - does it stop on the first sub report it executes or does it run through a few first then stop?
desree, thnks for your response
This issue happens when I try to run the general ledger transaction details report. as soon as I put in the new financial year and hit run it gives a date/time error.
This sounds like it is definitely a mix up between the data types somewhere. Are you able to provide the exact version number of the report please
General Ledger Transaction details 3-3 (AE-SQL)
that is the report description. Is that what you meant?
Thanks. Hope you have access to the connector moduleGo to the container for this report, open it and select the Year expressionOn the properties screen on the right change yours to be the same as the screenshot.then Apply Try running the report again .let me know how it goes.
unfortunately, it didn't work.
thank you soo much for the effort. I learnt a bit more about the connector along the way.
I am going to explore your suggestion further.
Have you tried the GL transactions report available on the Report Utility?
