Insert Key on a Mac

When using my mac book and I RDP into my PC where Sage 300 is installed there are times I am stuck becuase Sage 300 requirese a insert key to add to a grid Has anyone found a reliable method to send a insert key. I tried autohotkeys a simple script but doesn't seem to work with sage works with other applications. The script I wrote was

Send, {insert}

I have never found a solution to this issue, other than pressing tab to go through all columns and then it MAY take you to the next line.

If the user is connecting to a terminal server, or remote desktop…

that doesn't seem to work From the research I have found on the internet it's because I am remote it from my macbook Air or it's compatibility with Yosimite OS X Does anyone else have a suggestion

It's hit and miss, it depends on your version of mac. Google is your friend.

has anyone ever resolved this? I have googled and tried all the combinations and have yet to find anything that allows me to simulate a insert key. Sage still requires insert as the only option on some of their screens

I am having the problem as well. I called Sage & Apple, but no resolutions. None of the solutions found on google helped either

I have never found a solution to this issue, other than pressing tab to go through all columns and then it MAY take you to the next line.

If the user is connecting to a terminal server, or remote desktop server, they could run a program on that computer "Keyboard" and it will overlay a keyboard where they can click on the INSERT button.

Other options include a program called Karabiner-Elements https://karabiner-elements.pqrs.org/

https://github.com/pqrs-org/Karabiner-Elements/issues/654 for directions to map the insert key

I have not tested this, but it appears have made it work
