Crystal 2008 is fine, the RPT format hasn't changed in years.

As a matter of fact, Crystal XI still works, you simply ignore the message "this report was created in a newer version"

you will be forced to use the new SAP viewer which will probably screw up all your reports. If you use sub-reports and export to excel, then you need to rebuild all your reports.

Also, you will need to go through all your reports and make sure none of them say "save data with report" otherwise they will crash.

There is also a lag from hitting print to loading your document (8-14 seconds).  

If there is no advantage or requirement to upgrading Crystal Reports past 2008, then I guess there is no point. The only problem I have with it is the stupid registration prompt that comes up all the time and points to a bad URL so can't complete.

Register with 8732751361, I've been using that successfully in Crystal 10, XI, 2008, 2012, and 2014.

Does this still work with Crystal 2016 ? The sap kb here https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/public/en/2809346 mentions that registration is not required but I was unable to proceed from that step in the installation.
