Is there any documentation that shows what software gets installed when you install Sage 300 2021 from scratch? For example, if I took a clean Windows 10 client machine without any third-party software installed (just the OS), and immediately installed Sage 300 2021, what software would I see in the Control Panel -> Programs and Features when I finished? (I may try this myself just to get it documented if it doesnt already exist). I was looking at an existing machine and it had the following
- Access Database Engine
- SQL Server Native Client
- ODBC Database Driver
- OLE Database Driver
- Visual Basic for Applications
- Visual C++ Redistributable (both x86 & x64; versions = 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019)
- Visual C++ Runtime (both Minimum & Additional; both x86 & x64, versions = 2012, 2013, 2019)
- Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime
Overwhelming. Why so many? And are these all really bundled with different versions of Sage 300? Is there a way to know what each particular Sage 300 version is going to install on a computer without actually doing it first? Is all those supporting programs listed anywhere?
Finally, can someone help me understand what Sage 300 is using the Visual C++ Redistributable for? and how that differs from the Visual C++ Runtime?
Thank you in advance. Sorry to be so long-winded.
