When adjustments are created they have to be applied to another document.  This means that the adjustments are always fully applied and have a zero balance.  I don't know how you would have adjustments on the Aged Trial Balance with non-zero balances.

It's been an issue for some time.  The adjustment is posted against an invoice to clear the invoice.  On the AR trial balance the invoice is not shown but the adjustment number shows on a line with no amount.  It's fine as long as the account has a zero balance so that it doesn't show on the TB.  Running the report as you do explodes with these line items. 

I have found that Sage the TB report can be modified to not show these if the total is null.  You will need crystal to do this.  Or you can clear paid documents for these accounts which will work as well.

Exactly, they have been cleared pre-Sage upgrade. No idea why they started appearing after the upgrade. 

We do use Crystal and was checking to see if anyone knew the script to add or how to clear paid documents.

Edit the report and suppress those lines

Yes, I can edit the Crystal report with a <> 0 but which field would you recommend? I put it on the Current amount field but was looking for confirmation to ensure I am selecting the right field and confirmation wrote for all docs or if that needs to be more specific. Just because I cannot think of a reason these wouldn't work, I am looking for best practice ideas. Here is what I added - please advise as this seems too easy.

The conditional suppression formula for the section should have {@amtagetotal} = 0

I did go to that field, right clicked, selected format field, checked suppress and entered that formula but it didn't work for me.

Oh, ok...went to Report, Section Expert, selected Details, checked Suppress and entered formula. YES! It worked! I knew there had to be a best practice that I was unaware of. Thank you Jay!
