The webapi schema of ICItems has the fields QuantityOnHand and QuantityAvailable. Can we consider QuantityAvailable is the current inventory count for an item? Thanks.

Well, maybe it's there now, I don't know.  6 months ago it wasn't.  FWIW, I don't do any WebAPI development, our customers aren't asking for it.

I don't see the location information in the Web API ICItems in Sage 2021, the quantities are there but no location information which seems like quite an omission in my opinion.

6 months ago we had a client with programmers on staff, and they wanted to roll their own customer service portal.  It's a big omission, it made their portal almost useless.

Without a location, there cannot be a valid current inventory count.  I suggest you stop trying now.
