Have two clients with the same, tech support wait over 1 hour, then they hung up when connected!
Had the issue last week, 2020 licenses are applied automatically throwing out the installed version in License Manager.
Waiting for a tech support call back.....over 90 minutes now?? 2019 PU1 then applied PU3, no change.
On the license manager page, enter the 2020 license number for System Manager in the Serial Number, refresh, close/open sage and it should fix your problem. did for the 2 clients I had with this error. Apparently Sage did a PR license update over the weekend and things did not go as planned.
I too waited quite a while on support for this.
Thanks that worked. Sure would be nice if Tech Support put this on Sage City...as this is the Faster Better Way !
Thank you for your post Abenaki Ottawa, and for your answers Ross Nicholson & 1481899. The Sage 300 Support team advised the following as well:
Once the system manager serial number has been applied, the “refresh” button should be pressed
Hope this helps clarify what to do for others!
Warm Regards,
Erzsi
Will Sage be sending out an email to notify end users of the fix?
Am I right in assuming that the fix will also work for 2017, but not for 2016?
Hi Abenaki -
I agree, and I appreciate you starting the conversation!
I have just posted this information to the Sage City Announcements, News & Alerts forum for Sage 300 here: https://www.sagecity.com/support_communities/sage300_erp/f/sage-300-announcements/131902/error-a-problem-occurred-and-a-valid-license-for-this-product-cannot-be-found. Users that are subscribed to that forum will receive an email notifying them of the post.
Thanks,
Rachel
Hey Abenaki Ottawa, everything should be back to normal today. Please advise if you're experiencing otherwise!
We still have users that are getting this error today (different people than yesterday. It is taking us a bit to get through it. Some are also calling Sage Tech Support for help.
