A history entry should have fixed it. Try running DIC with fix option, that recalculates YTD totals.

yes it would as long as you selected the correct province to reverse it from and then re-enter to the correct one. Payroll table fix is easier if you know what your field and table to fix in database.

does anyone know which tables need to be udpated to effect the T4's. Ultimately all i should need to do is change the associated province of the wrong record and then do the rest through hisotry records.

CPCHKD has the details, CPYTDS has the YTD totals. If you edit CPCHKD, run DIC to recalc CPYTDS.

Not really. If you do the reversal in history but didn't select the correct prov to reverse it from it won't fix the issue even running the DIC with fix option. The province of employment in transaction history defaults to what's in the employee record, so if a pay was ran with the prov set AB (default) then it gets changes to BC the transaction history screen will default to BC not AB so if you reverse it from BC you will still get a T4 for AB because it still there. Once you reverse that payroll from the incorrect prov. you have to enter it back into the payroll as the employee did get paid so you have to ensure you enter it back into the correct Prov. for T4 purposes.
Doing it the Database way is one field in one table but I will never tell a end user how to do that as if they get it wrong it would cause more issues

the blank t4 is not a problem with rev Canada. I have removed income from one province to another using a historical entry in the past. This year, however, I have encountered a new problem in that after my historical entry when I generate t4s I am told I have negative amounts in income, cpp and ei and that they will be set to zero. Any idea why that is?

I tried entering the reversal in the wrong province and re-enter the transaction in the correct province.  All the taxes were reversed but the income stayed in the wrong province, hence I am getting two T4 slips.  Any advice?
