We have SAGE 300 running. I have successfully connected to the underlying MS-SQL DB via Excel (ODBC), Azure Data Studio, and Microsoft Power BI. So, access is not a problem. I've received a zip file from my support company (Impac Solutions) of the XML schema files. All 2,362 of them!
The problem I have is how I go about chasing down the fields I need in order to create the dashboard I'm looking to do. For example, the Inventory report is canned and doesn't have all the fields I want. I have the fields and can make the 'simple' SQL query to get the data, I just staring at all the XML data.
Has anybody created a guide or plain English document that takes the modules, like inventory or vendors, and breaks out the tables with the field names?
It seems this would be crazy useful so I expect somebody has done this.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
