Sage 300 and Azure SQL

I am trying to get Sage 300 2017 setup on an Azure VM using Azure SQL databases.I am having trouble with the database setup and the name of the SQL server. It appears that Sage truncates the name. Has anyone been successful with this type of setup?

Hi Rob,

Yes Sage dbSetup appears to truncate long instance name, SQL username and password.

We got it to work by making them all shorter in Azure SQL first.
