Upcoming Changes to Sage 300 Canadian Payroll for the 2020 Tax Year

Sage is constantly monitoring regulatory changes that affect Payroll for the US and Canada. As such, we are aware of new requirements from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) concerning T4 Slips and Statement of Remuneration Paid during COVID-19 pay periods.

We are in the process of reviewing the new requirements for the upcoming Q4 2020 update to Sage 300 Canadian Payroll. This update is planned to be released in December 2020. The announcement for this release will be posted on Sage City to the Sage 300 Announcements, News, and Alerts forum.

Has there been any further update regarding this tax update for the T4 requirements that CRA has implemented with codes 57, 58, 59 & 60?

Hi SageUserDS- Thanks for the question. I may have answered this through email, but I will answer here as well for anyone following the post!

We will be releasing the Q4 2020 Canadian and US Payroll updates in mid-December. This will include documentation and training for both Canadian and US Payroll year-end processing. These Payroll updates will be compatible with Sage 300 versions 2021, 2020, 2019 & 2018, per our Sage 300 Payroll support policy.
