You can enter this information if you enable the 1099 option in A/P Options on the A/P Setup menu.
There is not a feature to verify the TIN or SSN in Sage 100 Vendor Maintenance. If you own payroll, there is a SSN Verification Form to verify Employee SSN numbers. This feature is located in Payroll\Period End\Federal and State Tax Reporting in Aatrix. I believe you are able to add names, SSN, and DOB to the form in Aatrix if they are not created as Employees in Payroll. The form can be efiled via Aatrix for a fee or can be printed and mailed for free. I am not sure if Aatrix offers the feature for TIN verification, however you may want to add that to the Ideas section of Sage City as a possible enhancement to consider for a future release. thank you Linda. We don't use Sage for payroll but set up independent vendors. We were hoping for a tie in to the IRS TIN database to verify the name and TIN matches similar to entering a zip code where the city and state fill in the appropriate fields. We do have access to the IRS TIN matching data base and appreciate your information.
