Upgrade to 2020 - Tax profiles regarding covid pay

Although I cannot duplicate it at this time - be alert for this issue when upgrading to 2020 if you have tax profiles that have covid pay enabled.

Client did a payroll on a Wednesday and we did final data migration to 2020 that evening.   Payroll did all the Covid pay calculations correctly.  This morning they were working on the first payroll since the upgrade and they noted that it was not calculating FICA and medicare for Covid pay.

After digging around, I discovered that the tax profile had all the check boxes cleared for all Covid related taxes.  So it would appear that the data conversion routines are not taking those codes into account and blanking those out.   I could see how this could be happening as the modifications to payroll for Covid happened after 2020 was released and possibly this needed modification was missed.

In any event,  check your tax profiles after conversion if you are using Covid earnings codes.
