Sage 100 Client/Server ODBC Setup

Can someone provide me with the procedure for this?  The partner portal has been down for the past few days and I need this info ASAP.  Thanks.

Thanks John.  I actually just found this in the install guide.  I've configured the driver as needed, however upon testing the odbc connection from the client (remote) workstation, I'm getting 'ISAM communication error.  Any idea how I might resolve this?

    Hi Justin,

    • Shut Down the Sage 100 Client and restart. ODBC Admin | SOTAMAS90 Server Tab - Is server name or IP set?
    • Library Master | Setup | System Configuration | Enable CS ODBC Driver => on?
    • Enable for this user or all users?
    • Are you running CS ODBC Driver as service or application (pvxiosvr.exe) - try running as application...\mas90\home\pvxiosvr.exe

Make sure that firewall is blocking it either.

Thanks for the responses all.  In speaking with the client's internal IT guy, I was told that nothing was being blocked (port-wise), but he said he explicitly allowed access to that report and all was well.  Thanks again.

    Hi John

I've been trying to install Sage 100 2013 ODBC as a service on Windows 2012.  I followed the directions on Chapter 8 go Install guide and executed the pvxiosvr.exe -i thru Run. A generic windows popup prompts to confirm I want to execute the exe.  After confirming i get no confirmation that the service has installed.  When checking services the "Sage 100 ERP Client Server ODBC Driver Service" is nowhere to be found.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

BTW I have been running pvxiosvr.exe as an application on the desktop for the past week.  Everything works great except in the past 2 days it has been crashing and I have had to re-execute the exe to get users backup .  I believe it was been crashing randomly when a user is printing.  Thus the push to try running as a service.

Hi, If you are getting the confirmation to run (Open File Security Warning) then you select run, it should create the service.  Go to services and press F5.  The Service is named "Sage 100 ERP Client  Server ODBC Driver Service".

Make sure you are executing from the server and utilizing the share point with a UNC not a mapped drive.

    for example: \\10.188.216.234\Sage 100 Advanced ERP\MAS90\Home\pvxiosvr.exe -I
