Sage 100 Workstation Synchronization

It appears that the process that is used to synchronize the workstation synchronization is no longer an app that can be run to update components after product updates are installed.

Instead a vb script is run from a temporary folder.  The problem is, more and more companies are blocking this kind of scripting to protect against ransomware.  Are there workarounds for this, and is Sage working on something that is a more permanent solution to this?

in my current situation, I am looking to launch the 2019 service release 2.
