We have used this sales kit for many years and now would like to convert it to a regular "Finished Good" item.  Can this be done?

I changed the BOM type of this part# to Standard and there's only one version of BOM exists, but still get popup of "This product type may not be changed because a bill/sales kit exists for this item.  Use bill maintenance to change bill type.. [OK]" when I go to change the product type in Inventory Maintenance.

We try to avoid creating a new part#.  Any suggestion is appreciated.
