Sage 2020 Negative Issue of Materials

Hi,

In Sage 2018 and WOScan we could negative issue an item and create a new unique Lot or Serial Number on the fly.

In Sage 2020 and MFG100, MFG100 will accept the scan, but Sage rejects the import because the number Lot/SN doesn't already exist.  I would manually have to create all the SNs ahead of the transaction in order for this process to work as it used to in Sage2018.

Is there an option I missed or a fix I dont know about that would allow for the on the fly creation to come straight from scanning without needing back office intervention before the scan would be accepted?

Some screen shots below from MFG100 Scanning, the MFG100 Dashboard review, and the Sage EZ Import.  EZ Import shows 2 rejections because I tried this with both a Lot and Serailized item.  Same result.

Is this ScanCO? Could you please repost the pictures in a different format I can't see them very well.

Yes, MFG100 is a ScanCo product.   Sorry for the image quality.  The first is the MFG100 material issue screen, but selecting "Return" instead of "Issue" to put material into inventory vs remove from inventory

The second is the ScanCo dashboard for review of scans.  Trying to show here that the ScanCo system has no problem taking the information and will post to Sage as it was recorded.

The third image is the Sage EZImport that shows the records coming from MFG100 being rejected.

The reason being that the SNs entered in MFG100 were not available in Sage.  There is a process of creating SNs that would need to happen first in Sage, and I'm wondering if there is anyway to automate this during the EZimport process so the SNs posted by MFG100 dont get rejected.

Sage 2018 and WOScan had no issue creating new SNs on the fly allowing the negative issue to create new inventory.

We've since started a customization with Scanco to fix alternate item completions in MFG100, so we will solve this problem in a different way.

I would reach out to Scanco Support to determine if this functionality is possible.
