Sage Africa and Middle East is building on our vision of becoming a great SaaS company and this requires a continual review of our operating model and the services we deliver to our customers. As part of that review we have decided to focus on our core business of developing, delivering and supporting innovative software solutions. This will enable us to sharpen our customer service and product proposition to your benefit.
As such, we have decided to no longer provide tax and compliance advisory services to customers in South Africa, the rest of the Africa region and Middle East from 1 October 2019.
What this means for your business
Effective 1 October 2019, Sage will no longer provide compliance (tax or regulatory) advice and/or compliance advisory services through our Customer Success (telephonic, chat and email support) and Professional Services Teams (remote and onsite consultations) for the regions and legislations below:
Going forward, Sage Customer Success and Professional Services teams will exclusively focus on providing you with world-class product technical support and advice.

If you require any tax and compliance advice or services, please source tax and compliance advice and services from appropriately certified providers such as one of our certified business partners, your accountant or a tax practitioner. In South Africa the Tax Administration Act requires anyone providing tax advice, assisting or submitting tax returns on behalf of another person/entity to be registered as a tax practitioner both with SARS and a controlling body.

Customer Success (Chat, email and telephonic support)
The Sage Customer Success team will continue to provide the high-quality technical product support that you have come to know and rely on, and our specialists are ready to help you through any technical challenges that you may encounter. We have made a variety of digital tools available to ensure you have access to product information whenever you need it.
Professional Services (Onsite and remote consulting)
The Professional Services teams will assist customers either onsite at their premises or remotely via remote desktop software. They can assist with all Sage product related queries. This will include Statutory reconciliations within the Sage application. Other services that they offer:
