Server Requirements in Admin Guide

Hi All,

Not sure if anyone knows this, I have a customer asking about a new server set up for their CRM and I've tried to find in the Admin guide for CRM anything about how servers should be set up - when you can get away with one server or when to split it over two. etc.

Also I vaguely remember it used to say for the SQL server you need to have 1Gb RAM for 1Gb of the CRM database, but I can't find it anywhere in order to provide to the customer.

    Cheers, this is much closer to what I'm after, I think this sort of information should be added into the Hardware and Software Requirements so that it is one document you can hand to 3rd party IT teams and they know based on the number of users what sort of server they should be looking at. If an upgrade, based on the size of the CRM database, how much RAM should the new server(s) have. E.g. if you have a 90Gb CRM database. is it OK to have a server with 32Gb RAM in? (I know it's not, but there is no longer anything written down to show an IT person that CRM needs X to run smoothly)
