Editable grid with ASP API

Question

Is this possible? I just need to have a checkbox in the grid that the user can check/uncheck to select rows and a submit button. And obviously I need to be able to identify the selected rows in the server-side code.

Thanks everyone for ideas posted. As I only needed to add a checkbox to each row on the grid I created a calculated field in the view the grid is based on and added the calculated field to the grid. The calculated field outputs the html to create the checkboxes: 
 '<input type="checkbox" id="_chkselect'+CONVERT(varchar(20),Prod_ProductId)+'" class="_chkselect" data-pid="'+CONVERT(varchar(20),Prod_ProductId)+'" data-code="'+ISNULL(prod_code,'')+'">' AS prod_select 
 A button on the list page runs some javascript code to loop through the checkboxes and execute a function for all those that are checked.
