Find screens stopped working, no errors, no results

Just yesterday our CRM stopped returning any results from any Find screens, e.g. Company, Person, Opportunity, etc.  We have CRM's System and SQL logging to full, and neither showed any errors, nor did Windows' Application and System event logs, nor did SQL Server's server log.

I suspect it may be an unstable condition inside the eWare DLL which was not an exception, but this is just a guess.

So has anyone ever experienced anything similar to this?

    Please can you post the vSearchListCompany View that you have. Good place to start. 

    If you take this view and just run it in SQL Studio does it return results?

    Hi Matthew and thanks for the follow-up.  I appreciate the reason you're asking about the views however I can't imagine they're the problem.  Our Sage CRM was installed in 2002, and I've been managing it since 2005.  So it's a pretty mature, well-established implementation.  These views have been around forever and have worked reliably for years and years.  So I don't think the views themselves are the source of the problem especially as it affected Find/Search across multiple entities.  It has to have been some temporary glitch in the DLL.  So I'm just asking in case anyone has seen similar behavior before.  I'm not going to be surprised if no one responds with such a report.  If it happens again, I'll pursue it further.  Thanks again.

    Not a problem, though I have never known the DLL to affect searches in all the years I have been working with CRM, for me it'll come down to views or access to data, or just one entity being updated making everything else disappear. 

    Can be one of the simplest things, e.g. in Sage 200 CRM, if you delete a Sage 200 Integration, it doesn't just remove the integration all data suddenly disappears, this is because all the records in the Account table are marked as deleted and so everything disappears as a lot of views refer to the Account table

    Thanks. Yes and that solved the problem right away.  It hasn't returned since.  So my post was just to see if anyone else had ever experienced the specific problem.  Looks like it was a total fluke.   Oh well.
