I am having an issue where a text field is not available as a filter on q widget, specifically oppo_description, has anyone seen this before?

Text fields arn't allowed as filters.
Here it says text fields can be used as filters, and other text fields are being used already.
Once the List gadget is on your dashboard you can use the Filter by drop-down list and field to narrow the selection further. The Filter by field returns data containing the text entered. You can filter by any string (character) type of field, which is displayed on the gadget. I stand corrected, everyday is a school day.
But tested and the standard field oppo_description does allow filtering and works.
What did i do the break it then? haha. What version did you test on?
No idea. Tested in 2017R2 and 2020R2 both the same.
Is this a gadget that you have created yourself or a standard gadget? Are you a system admin user?
One that i created myself as a template. Yes I am.
Have you tried using one of the standard opportunity gadgets to see whether the same problem exists? Is the list gadget based on a report?
