Hi All,
I successfully install Sage CRM on my local PC but not able to run the website because of the error below. I check that the eware.dll file exist and is in the correct directory. Please help.
First thing to check that the version of CRM is supported by the Windows Operating system. I have seen this when installing an older version of CRM on a Windows version that isn't supported.
Secondly go to IIS and from within there can you browse to the website? Seen an odd issues over the years where you can browse it from IIS but opening up a browser and trying to do it from there doesn't work.
Finally worth checking what IIS options have been installed on the server.
also check that the eware.dll is installed. I have seen where antivirus has removed it during installation
Check the logs in C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVCX to see where the request is looking.
Hi Matthew, I am using Sage CRM 2019R2 with Windows 10 Pro. My colleague able to install on her PC with the same PC spec as mine. Browsing it from the IIS also have the same error. IIS feature has been setup and able to run the other website (Sage 300, SEI) from IIS
eware.dll is installed & exists in C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\CRM\CRM\WWWRoot\
there is no file/folder W3SVCX in the C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\. I also check Event Viewer for error but there is none

Did you check the app pools for crm and default to see if they are allowing 32 bit
yes the Enable 32 bit Application == True.
I also run a test connection below and get this result. could the problem is cause by this?
OK this isn't a supported environment for CRM, only Windows Server operating systems are.
Check the username on the CRM app pool, also check that the same user has rights to the CRM folder, finally check that the Authentication of the CRM site is using the App Pool
As a test you can give Everyone full access to that folder. If that works then you can work back from there to see at which point it stops working.
