Script Component timing out

Hi

i have been doing some customisations for a customer on their test system and want to move these across by using the component manager - each time i try to script the component out it takes ages (around 45 mins) and then times out and displays a page showing page cannot be displayed

is there anyway of fixing this? ive had a look in the log files and cannot see any errors, ive also took a copy of the db and restored in a virtual server and get the same issue

any help would be much appreciated

    Just how many changes are you talking of here? Scripting is quite a simple process as it reads the metadata tables looking for records where the component name matches the component name that you're scripting and outputs a file. Sounds to me as if there is a permissions issue somewhere as the file isn't writing and it is timing out. Run the browser as administrator.
