Searching Documents - Expanding on a Tip & Hints

Not sure if my comment on the linked post would be noticed, so just posting it here as well. 
 The document search using Windows Server Service works great on Windows 2016 and CRM 2020 R1. But does anyone know how to extend it so that you can join together the query search from the WIndows Index with that from SQL tables. 
 The idea being that within the results you show the document, plus some CRM information like the company the document is linked to.

I have responded on the blog. I think you should be able to. The path that is returned contains details of the company - the company name and the primary key e.g. Educational Services (National )(1225). You can then make a follow up call.
