I am new to .Net. 

I notice the Sage CRM SDK requires the .Net framework 2.0 as seen here: https://help.sagecrm.com/on_premise/en/2018R1/dev/Content/Developer/DN_InstallingTheDotNETSDK.htm

When I try to include a reference to the Sage 300 ACCPAC.Advantage API, I get a warning that the API is only compatible with the .Net framework version 4.5.1.

Will references that require a higher .Net version than 2.0 fail?
