Sage CRM mobile app - Samsung / android internet appears to be offline

Hi everyone.

To be absolutely clear, this issue relates to the APP and not the mobile web access as posts seem to get lost in translation between the two.

I having an issue with the Sage CRM mobile app whereby when clicking on the download data button I get the message: 'the internet appears to be offline'.

However this happens when I access it using a Samsung mobile device running Android v8. In fact I have tried it on both a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and an A5. No, i dont have anymore Android phones to test it on before anyone asks.

It works as expected when I access it through a iPhone 6 using iOS v11.

I have installed the component as instructed for my version of CRM 2018 R2.

I have downloaded the app which for Android is v1.6

I have ensured I have a person record with the account manager assigned to my user. I have done the same with a couple of opportunities .

I have gone to the account area of my phone and in the sage crm section I have set the options to download assigned contacts and opportunities and to download all data (meaning fully download all the records assigned to me).

I access this through https (e.g. https://CRM.abc.co.uk/crm). As I say it works fine with the iPhone.

I have seen the article that references this error and made the change as advised. It has made no difference.

So to say I've crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's is an understatement.

There is very limited documentation relating to the product but the last releases notes say it is compatible with Android Kitkat v6 and above.

My version of Sage CRM is 2018 R2 using the classic integration with Sage 200 200c.

I'm really at a loss on this one so I would really appreciate any help given.

Thanks
