I'm looking to be able to file emails using the CRM Outlook Plugin against Leads, I understand that there has been a workaround available in previous versions - See Link: https://community.sagecrm.com/user_community/b/sage_crm_news/archive/2010/07/20/filing-an-email-from-outlook-to-lead-entity-communication.aspx

This workaround seemingly worked on versions 6.2 and 7.0 according to the linked article. It doesn't work on 7.2 onwards. (Unsure about 7.1)

I've added the field to the file email screen (see image 1) and i'm able to pull back the email and file into the system:

Our problem is that it doesn't appear frontend in the communications tab of the lead the email is filed too, despite setting the search field on the right to -all-.

I can confirm that it creates a communication record in the database.

I've been able to force it to display frontend by adding the Lead_LeadID from dbo.Lead value into the Comm_Link table in CmLi_Comm_LeadID field. This then displays the filed email frontend against the Lead.

How can I go about making this happen when the email is filed, as manually doing this every time is going to be impossible to action.
