Help! Understanding Addresses and associated tables and screens

Hoping someone can assist me in understanding how address data appears in the data tables and back out to Sage CRM. On the company record, I see two areas where the company address is presented..On the company summary tab and on the address tab. When you click the green arrow by address on the summary tab, you are transported to the Addresses tab..therefore, I am assuming that what is displayed on the summary tab is coming from the data on the addresses tab.

A few days ago, I imported some data into the address table and created the proper links (or so I thought :-)) in the address link table. When I looked at the company, I could see the address on the company summary tab. However, it was not displayed on the address tab. I have looked around and I cannot see what needs to occur in order for the data to appear on the address tab.

Today, I am looking at another company record. I did not import this data. I see the address on the company summary tab and I see the address on the company address tab. Therefore, I pulled some data out of the tables in the background and I am having trouble understanding or following the data. This is what I am seeing in the background of a company that I can see the address on the address tab. I am having trouble understanding why there are three address link records for the same company with two different address ids.
