Phone numbers and email addresses from lead to company

By default the business number and email address will copy to the business phone number and person business email field when a lead converts. I am sure this is handled with translations, but I cannot find annything about it. If I had mobile on the lead, how would I ensure that linked to the mobile number on the person? Similarly with email address types. I could do it with a tablescript but I am convinced there is (or was) a way of doing this with translations.

It is a combination of translations (under your control) and internal DLL behaviour (outside your control). See this article community.sagecrm.com/.../email-and-phone-numbers-in-crm.aspx

The linking of Lead information to Person information when the lead is converted should be down to the onscreen mapping of fields.

Thanks Jeff.

I'll take a look at this in the morning. I know the general way fields are mapped by the way they're named, but I remembered the phone/email fields were a bit different and I just couldn't remember how it was done. I'll let you know how I get on.
