Our Sage Site has an option to convert a lead to an opportunity. When we do this, it locks the Leads records from editing.
Questions:
Can this be changed?
If so How?
What are the implications of making this change?

This is by design. Once a lead has been promoted to an Opportunity all the communications are copied to the Opportunity and all further progress of the 'lead' should be done in the opportunity. All communication need to be stored against the opportunity and changes to the contact details will be against the person or company linked to the opportunity and not the Lead.

There a a couple of fields we would like to change of some items which have been "locked". is there a work around to alter these?
