For Sage CRM 2022 R2 we reviewed how passwords that are entered through the UI were stored within the system.

The work standardized field sizes and the secure storage of the data.

As part of this work we added a new field in the screen that allows password policies to be set for groups of users.

The new field provides a new option to set the Maximum length of password. This lets system administrators configure the maximum password length for the users the policy applies to. The value in this option cannot exceed 200 and must be equal to or greater than the one set in the Minimum length of password option.

Note: The Maximum length of password option takes effect only when a user to whom the password policy applies tries to change their password.
