Sage CRM 2022 R1: What to expect

2 minute read time.

The local Sage teams and integration partners should have completed their integration testing today Tuesday 18th January 2022. We are on target for the release of Sage CRM 2022 R1 to the Sage regions on 28th January 2022.

Note: The exact release date in your country will be determined by your local Sage team as the final processes go to market preparations will need to be confirmed.

Each release has a different focus within the overall roadmap. The changes in Sage 2022 R1 have largely been focused on improvements to the experience in Deployment and Administration.

The developers have continued to grind down on the bugs and the Release Notes document over 30 issues addressed in this release. All these changes have been documented in the Release Notes which will be added to the Help Centre from 28th January 2022.

The new release has added support for MS SQL Server 2019 Express and MS Azure SQL Database.

Our intention is that a partner will be able to install Sage CRM on an SQL server instance they have created. In the Sage Partner Cloud, partners can create their own SQL Server instance and create/manage databases on that server independently. Please do check with your local Sage team whether your accounting integration supports deployment on MS Azure SQL.

This release has executed well on its priorities of delivering deployment and administration experience improvements, pain point elimination, and enhancing integration capabilities for 3rd party solutions.

Sage CRM 2022 R1 will also support Windows 11 but please do note the recent advisory that has important information for users of the Outlook Classic and Outlook Lite plugins. Advisory: Sage CRM, Windows 11, and Internet Explorer
