Sage CRM 2022 R1 has added a 'call home' feature that checks the support status of the installed instance of Sage CRM. It combines that with the license key information to display a message for System Administrators about the installed Sage CRM version, license key, and version support end date.
This information is displayed at the top of the screen in the Administration area in the same sort way that coaching captions are displayed.
Because this feature needs to check information on a Sage server it requires an Internet connection. If you are working with a Sage CRM server on a network that does not connect to the Internet then you may want to turn off this feature.
A system administrator can do this in their preferences screen.
We've added the display of version and license key information to give system administrators the information they need where they need it. It will also help ensure customers stay current on the supported versions to improve the security and value of their system.
