Sage CRM 2020 R1: Changes to Plugin Installation (Part 4 of 4)

This is the fourth article in a short series that will look at how Outlook Plugin installation has changed in Sage CRM 2020 R1.

From Sage CRM 2020 R1 onwards, the installation of the Outlook Integration plugins can be carried out by users of any browser.

To use Classic Outlook Integration, you must download the Classic Outlook Plugin in Sage CRM. You can download the plugin on a 32-bit machine only.


The CRM Client Install Shield will ask you which set up type should be followed.  Select 'Complete'


You will need to provide the details of the install of Sage CRM with which you are working.
  • Server Name:  This is the Sage CRM server name and it should be automatically populated from the Sage CRM server.
  • Install Name:  This is Sage CRM install name and it should be automatically populated from the Sage CRM server.
  • Port Number: The default is 80. This may need to be changed if HTTPS is used.
  • Use Secure Connection HTTPS:  This confirms that the connection is via HTTPS.
  • User Name: The user name should be automatically populated from the Sage CRM server.
  • Domain: This is the Exchange Server domain name.


Once the values are confirmed click the 'Next' button to proceed.


And then finalise the installation.
