Sage CRM 2020 R1: Changes to Plugin Installation (Part 2 of 4)

This is the second article in a short series that will look at how Outlook Plugin installation has changed in Sage CRM 2020 R1.

The articles in the series will explain how to
Installing a Public Key on the client machine.

This location

<Sage CRM installation folder>\CRM\Services\OpenSSL\signing

contains the file "SageCRMSelfSigned.cer".  This is the Public key that is used to verify the signed .msi files. This is the public key that will need to be installed on each client computer where users will be running the .msi files.

To install the public key on a client computer:

Copy the SageCRMSelfSigned.cer file to the client computer.

Double-click the SageCRMSelfSigned.cer file and then click Install Certificate.

Follow the steps in the wizard to place the certificate in the Local Computer\Trusted Root Certification Authorities certificate store.

Choose Local Machine

You need to choose the store in which to place the certificate.

Browse to select the Trusted Root Certification Authorities location.

Then click next

And confirm the location of the store and click ‘Finish’.

The import should be successful.
