SAP Crystal Reports 2016 entered the end of mainstream support at the end of December 2022 and enters support end life on 31/12/2024. In preparation for this, we are no longer distributing 2016 license keys, and from now we will only distribute SAP Crystal Reports 2020 licenses.

Please note that Customers will need to download SAP Crystal Reports Designer 2020 directly from the SAP website, which is the tool to design or modify reports directly. Please refer to this SAP knowledge base article for more details on how to download.

If customers run a recent release of Sage X3 Version 12 (from 2019 R4), customers will not be required to do anything to the Sage X3 setup as the Sage X3 Crystal Reports runtime runs reports created using both Crystal Reports Designer 2020 and Crystal Reports Designer 2016.

To clarify:

• Customers do not need to purchase anything from SAP if they have got our OEM license for Crystal Reports Designer 2020. If they have purchased it previously (i.e. for 2016) and want to upgrade, we can upgrade their report developer license.
• Customers do need to download CR Designer 2020 from the SAP website
• For SAP Crystal Reports 2020 to work, customers need to verify that they meet the prerequisites. CR 2020 is only compatible with 64-bit operating systems.

Please continue to follow the pre-existing process when raising requests for license keys.
