IT provider to facilitate V12 upgrade

Hi,

I am evaluating potential IT companies for a client looking to upgrade to V12 from their current V9. I have an initial quote of £20k but this does not include BI reporting tool implementation. They also say that where there are legislative changes in the future, e.g. VAT rates, then these will be chargeable updates/patches - is this right? Can anyone recommend a reputable, tried and tested alternative IT company I could consider?

Hi Ali

Updates and Patches are generally FOC, whilst there is a valid Support Contract, but the time to apply them is not. Adding something like a new VAT Rate could be a simple configuration change, actioned…

Updates and Patches are generally FOC, whilst there is a valid Support Contract, but the time to apply them is not. Adding something like a new VAT Rate could be a simple configuration change, actioned by a Paid-for Consultant or by the Customer with the right knowledge and understanding - it is difficult to quantify without specifics.

I work for Datel, so would obviously recommend them.
