ALERT: Eclipse Debugging in a Syracuse Cluster can exhaust Memory and CPU

Problem:

A problem has been discovered with memory and CPU consumption when Eclipse Debugging is being undertaken with a multi-server Syracuse cluster.

This has been identified as an issue when using the Syracuse Load balancer:-

The Syracuse nanny process in handling the Eclipse data collection across the cluster, can consume all available memory and CPU , which can have serious adverse affects on the performance and operation of the X3 instance.

If Syracuse and Mongo are hosted on the same server, Mongo can become inoperable and the status of Syracuse will become unreachable.

Affects:

V12 Syracuse from 12.8

Workaround:

The use of an External Syracuse Load Balancer.

Fix:

A fix will be available in Syracuse version 12.13
