The Sage X3 Lifecycle Policy is designed to provide consistent and predictable guidelines on the availability of maintenance of Sage X3 versions. The Lifecycle policy document outlines how long each version of Sage X3 will be covered by maintenance support, allowing you to effectively plan your software investment and avoid any gaps in support.
As also mentioned in my previous articles Sage X3 Lifecycle policy and Sage X3 Support Lifecycle transitions 1st July 2020, the full latest policy is available from KB article 105518 "Sage X3 Lifecycle Policy". This should be reviewed periodically as it can change at our discretion. At the time of writing this article, the latest version of this document is June 2020
As you will be aware with the impact of Brexit, end of life for Flash and similar events, now might be the ideal time to reread the Sage X3 Lifecycle Policy to ensure your implementation is fully supported.
Now we have moved to quarterly releases with 2020R1, 2020R2 etc (previously known by their v12 patch numbers), this is even more important.
Part of the policy for older versions particularly impacts PU9 and earlier. While V11 is currently in "Standard" maintenance stage and enters "Extended" maintenance on 3rd January 2022
Sage strongly recommends you maintain your system in the "Current", or at least at the "Standard" stage, which will ensure you can react in a timely fashion to any situations such as Brexit or Flash deprecation, but also allows you to take advantage of latest features, fixes and improvements with minimum effort
