Deleting RDEC items from P&L

Has any encountered the problem whereby if an RDEC claim is revised it proves impossible to change it within SCT as the program insists on you deleting the items from the P&L which you do only to find the RDEC section won't let go of them so duplicated entries appear?

The only solution appears to be to start entirely from scratch which can't be right can it?

    May have found the answer to this, it appears to only happen when you link an RDEC expense directly from the P&L rather than from a sub analysis of the expense heading (i.e. Claiming RDEC directly from Wages heading rather than a subanalysed RDEC Wages heading)
