Employment Allowance

After a couple of hours I have just sent my claiim for Employment Allowance  Who would have thought for some organisations it is not applicable as State Aid. Instant Payroll does not tell you to choose Applicable or Not applicable  and choosing applicable sends you to tick a sector which might not be applicable to you. HMRC as well do hot explain it is possibly not State Aid,  We have to be physic. But if you look at Sage 50 instructions it does tell you ( I found these by chance. yet another example of software designers not aware of the common or garden use like me.

    Hi Paul,

    I need advise on EA for 2020/21. I just received the letter from HMRC although dated 10th April 2020 awarding the £4000 for this tax year. I have processed the 1st payroll for this year on 24th April and was not able to tick the box for EA. Now that I have received it do I need to send an EPS again for the last 4 weekly payroll?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using Sage City. Apologies for the late reply to this. We changed over Sage City and some queries were missed by mistake.

    You may have already resolved your query but you'll just be able to tick the employment allowance box then re-run your P32 report, month on month to see the employment allowance.
