My Pension Provider is the Peoples Pension I have been trying to upload a file but unfortunately I have been unsuccessful. I contacted the Peoples Pension and was told:-

The issue is due to the file type you exported from Sage. The file attached is a papdis type however we can only accept Full files or Maintenance and Contribution files.

I then contacted Sage and was told:- 

The pension file is only available in CSV file which I know is not currently compatible with peoples pension. We are working to improve this and change the file format for the people pension but for now you would need to use the peoples pension templates available on their website to import the data across :)

To import date from one template to another is more time consuming than actually manually inputting the data so this is not an option. 

I was told a year ago that Sage is looking to change the file format and still nothing has happened. 

Is this realistically going to happen?

If not this should be explained at the buying stage as an employer with lots of employees would not want to manually do this. Also a realistic timescale would let employers make a change to a different payroll package if its not going to happen.
