MTD VAT Return

I have just tried to submit my first MTD VAT return.  My sage software is compliant and up to date but I cannot submit my return as it is saying my VAT number is not recognised.  It is correct and the number I have always used successfully.  Even logged on to Gateway to check.  Can anyone help?

    Hi Kirstie,

    If you are using Sage Business Cloud Accounting, you need to make sure that you have authenticated your account with HMRC for MTD.

    This is done under Settings and then Accounting Dates & VAT. This will ask you to grant permission through your HMRC account to then link Accounting to it.
