So sat stressed out of my mind doing the recs month by month for EOY. Came to August and have managed to somehow set the date for Aug 2020 without realising. So now my bank rec screen looks like this

They don't teach you how to deal with this on AAT sage level 2! All i'm getting is that I can't edit it once it's been reconciled. Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks,

Ffion

    Hi Ffion

    Thanks for contacting Sage City

Unfortunately you cannot delete a ‘Finished’ bank reconciliation

You will need to run subsequent reconciliations using the statement date the day after the previous one, then reconcile the transactions correctly to the correct statement end balance.

Doing the bank reconciliation does not affect any figures in the program, it is effectively just a box ticking exercise, all that will be wrong is the statement end date, you could use the reference to refer to the correct date.
