Exporting data from SBCA Start / Sage One into Sage 50cloud Accounts

SOLVED

My client wishes to use Sage 50cloud Accounts on their PC as it will integrate with their shop till software. They are currently using Sage One / SBCA Start, and we are their Sage Business Partners.  Can I export data from Sage One, and import it into Sage 50cloud to minimise the re-keying of data, or does Sage offer a conversion service for this transfer from one product to another?

    Hi Stephen,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

Unfortunately there is no option for an automatic migration from SBC/Sage One to Sage 50. The only way to get the information out of the system is through exporting to CSV, you can then import the data into 50 from the same CSV files. You can follow the steps on our help article here for steps on exporting the data.

This will also require a bit of manipulation in excel as the data is not exported in the format Sage 50 needs to import records. If you need some further information on the import process for 50 accounts you would need to speak to our 50 support team on 0845 111 5555 or you can view their Sage City page here.

Hope this helps. If this has answered your question please click More > Verify Answer.

Many thanks for your help Jack, I was able to do as you suggested and export the data as csv files form SageOne, then reformat it for the import into Sage 50 using the supplied templates.  It was actually quite straightforward, although I did have to generate the up to 8 character account references from the account name, as Sage One does not use them.

    Best regards
