I notice this query hasn't had a community response.

For enter payments, please close Sage 50 Payroll then run two repairs on the database for the company in question. Once you've completed two successful repairs, right click the desktop icon for payroll then click Run as administrator. Log in as normal, then check enter payments once again.

For 'check for updates' returning older updates, please follow the steps in our automatic update prompts to install an incorrect version guide.

Thank you for your response; I also spoke to an ambassador via the web chat yesterday who led me through the above steps. Nothing has changed unfortunately, it is still coming up with the same issue. It flashes like it's going to bring up the enter payments box but it actually does nothing. I think it's an update issue as it's only started since downloading v29; i've also re-installed the new version manually, and also done the dbs utilities option too.

The ambassador I was talking to put my problem through to the technical team but i haven't had a response yet. I don't work thursdays or fridays and need to run payroll on Monday so i have a tight time issue.

Could you complete the steps in our software closes unexpectedly when you click enter payments guide please and let me know if this resolves the issue? 

Thank you for the guide, i have created a new employee group which seems to be working. However, it does only work when i run sage 50 as an administrator now. This has never been a problem before but since this update it has.
